Waco Police arrest two after seizing large amount of cocaine from home

Waco, Texas (KETK) — The Waco Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit has seized a large quantity of cocaine.
It happened this morning when the Drug Enforcement Unit and SWAT Team conducted a search warrant in the 2900 block of Morrow Drive.
Detectives found 18 ounces of cocaine inside the home.
Several weapons, cash, a small quantity of marijuana, and drug packaging items were also found at the residence.
During the search of the home, a toddler was found sleeping in the home as well.
Detectives arrested Gerald Wayne Howard, 55, and Valecia Evette Howard, 60, at their home.
Each have been charged with possession of a controlled substance, cocaine over 400 grams, and endangering a child.
The Crimes Against Children Unit and Child Protective Services were called to the scene to help with the small child found in the home. This child is believed to be related to the arrested individuals.
