Waco, TX — Waco police are investigating a shooting at a local business early Sunday morning.

At 12:45 a.m., officers were called to Treff’s Bar and Grill, located at 520 Austin, to reports of a large fight inside the club. Callers reported a group of Hispanic people were fighting.

As officers were responding, the fight started to move outside the club into the parking lot area. Prior to officers arriving at the scene, a gunshot was fired outside the club at a group of people, hitting one person. The victim, Pedro Rodriguez, 23, was shot in the abdomen.

It is believed other men involved drove Pedro to a local hospital where they left Pedro and then drove away.

Pedro’s condition is unknown at this time and there is no information on the alleged shooter.
