Two Waco Crime Scene Unit Technicians are being honored for their roles in catching a serial bank robber.
Police officers Joyce Marek and Laura Teamer received certificates of recognition on Wednesday for assisting the F.B.I with the arrest of Bradley Craig Kilmer.
Kilmer has been linked to a bank robbery that occured in Lacy Lakeview on August 8. Kilmer has been charged with other numerous bank robberies in Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina.
The officers used a database to link a partial handprint to Kilmer.
The award was signed by the Robert S. Mueller, III, Director of the F.B.I. and presented by local F.B.I Agent, John Truehitt.
The award reads: “The Federal Bureau of Investigation is proud to recognize (both technicians) for your dedication and contributions to a joint law enforcement operation carried out by your agency in cooperation with the FBI. Your skills, devotion to duty, and ability to work closely with other law enforcement officers were responsible for a significant part of the successes achieved in this priority investigation.”
