Waco's City Manager retiring after 34 years of service

Waco City Manager Larry D. Groth, P.E. is retiring, after more than three decades serving the city.

Groth has served as the city manager for 34 years, and his last day will be March 1.

The city of Waco will host a retirement reception, in Groth's honor, on Wednesday at the Waco Convention Center, located at 100 Washington Avenue, in the Brazos Ballroom. The reception will begin at 4 p.m., with presentations set to begin at 5 p.m. The community is invited to attend and show your appreciation.
