Wanted man in custody after two-day manhunt ends with tracking dogs

KWKT/Limestone County Jail
Monday, October 7, 2013 - 4:31pm

A wanted Central Texas man is now in custody after leading local police on his second manhunt of the year.

Teddie Davenport, 45, was found by tracking dogs behind a home in Teague Tuesday afternoon.

The arrest comes two days after Davenport injured two game wardens in a police chase on Saturday outside Mart.

Davenport, who was given six years probation for a similar stunt back in May, was considered armed and dangerous.

But tonight, he is sitting behind bars thanks to help from local departments including Mart Police, and both the McLennan and Limestone County Sheriff's Office.
