Officers looking for man who allegedly stole $1500 worth of tire merchandise

Killeen Police Department is searching for a man accused of stealing about $1,500 worth of tires and rims from a tire store on Monday.

On December 3, officers were notified of a felony theft that occurred at Big Zack’s Tire Shack, located at 1112 West Jasper Road. The representative told officers that a customer came into the store and requested new rims and tires to be mounted on his vehicle. The employees mounted black and chrome Gila 22 inch rims, valued at $216 each. They also mounted Delente tires, valued at $159 each. All of the merchandise totals around $1500.

Once the rims and tires were mounted, the customer reportedly entered his vehicle and drove away without paying for the merchandise. The suspect in this theft is described as a heavyset black male who is approximately five-feet seven-inches tall. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and dark colored pants. His vehicle is described as a late 1990’s model Ford Crown Victoria or a Mercury Marquis style vehicle.
