I used PVC pipe to make a small quilting frame on legs. You will need 4 right angle connections with openings for connecting 3 pipes, then cut the pipes to the size of frame that you want- 4 pieces for length & width, 4 pieces for legs- highth. I use clamps (3 per side) to hold piece being quilted across the frame. Works great, dis-assembles easily, and fits into cloth bag that I made to hold it.
