COLLEGE STATION -- The Texas A&M community mourning one of their own tonight after a tragic death over the weekend.
19-year-old Garrett Luce was a sophomore business administration major and Kappa Alpha fraternity member.
Luce was killed early Sunday morning after he was struck by a Union Pacific train on the bridge near Wellborn Road and University Drive.
Police are not sure why Luce was on the railroad tracks at three in the morning but tell us they don't believe it was suicide.
"You know it was early in the morning so they'll try to determine why he was on the bridge, where he was before, what his plans were for the night and who he had been with," said Officer Rhonda Seaton.
Luce's body has been sent to Austin for an autopsy to determine if drugs or alcohol could have played a factor in his death.
