WACO, TX — There have been many wrecks on I-35 involving tractor-trailers in the past few months, some of which have been fatal.
That is why city leaders are holding a meeting Thursday night to address some issues that have popped up since the widening project on I-35 began.
The Texas I-35 corridor is one of the most used roadways in the country and a third of that traffic involves large, unforgiving 18-wheelers.
Construction leaders will meet with law enforcement and transportation officials to discuss problems and possible suggestions to alleviate problems.
Some of those include further reducing the speed limit and alerting long-haul truck drivers of possible detours to alleviate traffic with civilians.
