Warren Street to be closed for up to two months

Hewitt, TX — One intersection on Hewitt Drive will be closed until January of next year.

Starting today, the Texas Department of Transportation will close Warren Street at Hewitt Drive to install a water drainage system as well as repavement of the entire intersection.

The construction is just a small portion of the Hewitt Drive widening project that started in October.

The work at Warren Street should be done sometime mid-January.

The entire Hewitt Drive widening project is scheduled to end sometime next spring.

TxDOT is urging commuters to use alternative routes and to drive safely when passing construction workers.
