Killeen, TX — Killeen Police are investigating a robbery that happened Tuesday morning at the Heart of Texas Federal Credit Union.
Shortly before 11 a.m., officers were callted to the Heart of Texas Federal Credit Union, located at 1612 S. Fort Hood Street, after receiving a 911 call in reference to a robbery. When officers made it to the scene, the bank staff told them an armed man had entered the bank, demanded money and ran from the area.
Investigators say a man entered the credit union and approached a teller displaying a weapon. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect ran to aresidential area east of the credit union.
The suspect is described as an unshaven white man who is approximately 6’0” tall and between 220-240 pounds. He was last seen wearing a beige low profile University of Texas ball cap with an orange longhorn symbol, a striped button-up shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
