College Station, Tx — Texas A&M quarterback, Johnny Manziel, has been named one of three Heisman finalists.
"Johnny Football" will be joined by Kansas State quarterback, Collin Klein, and Notre Dame linebacker, Manti Te'o.
As a redshirt freshman, Manziel broke the SEC total yardage record with 4,600 yards. The record was held by current Carolina Panther quarterback and Heisman winner Cam Newton.
Manziel told the media "he [is] overwhelmed by this tremendous honor of representing Texas A&M, the 12th Man and all [his] teammates in New York," according to Aggie Athletics.
The phenom will lead his Aggies (10-2) against former Big XII rival Oklahoma (10-2) in a January 4th contest at the Cotton Bowl.
If Manziel wins the Heisman, he would become the second winner in A&M history. John David Crow won the award back in 1957.
