BRAZOS COUNTY, Tx (KYLE) — After just three days of trial a verdict has been reached in the capital murder case of Stanley Robertson.
Thursday a Brazos County jury found Robertson guilty of capital murder in the 2010 slaying of his ex-girlfriend's mother, Annie Toliver.
Robertson stabbed Toliver more than 30 times during the assault and also kidnapped the 59-year-old and drove her to Fort Worth where he then dumped her body in a parking lot.
The punishment phase of Robertson's trial will begin Friday morning.
The D.A. will seek the death penalty.
