Limestone County, TX — A Central Texas man was found guilty and sentenced to 40 years in state prison Tuesday for a June 2012 robbery at a Mexia pharmacy.
A surveillance picture of Mark David McCarty, 55, shows him walk into a CVS Pharmacy store, where he stole hydrocodone, which is a painkiller. Video recordings were crucial for McCarty's conviction.
McCarty allegedly appeared to be armed at the time of the robbery, but police report no weapon was ever displayed. The trial for McCarty took place in Limestone County.
