Temple, TX — Temple City Council recently approved a 400-thousand dollar project to put up new signage downtown.
The new signs and maps are intended to help visitors and residents navigate the area easier, showing where different ends of town are located. There will also be new parking signs, because there is such a crowding issue downtown with no street parking allowed.
Leaders anticipate this will solve some of the confusion in the area and make the city look a little nicer.
"I think it's going to be very attractive signage that'll really help to accent what's going on downtown today and redevelopment and that. I think it'll really add a lot to our downtown image," said Temple Mayor Bill Jones.
The project is expected to be completed within the next four months.
