KILLEEN, TX — A Killeen man, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for murder on April 4, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a second murder charge.
John Stanton Beasley Jr., 23, was sentenced to another 15 years in prison for the second murder charge in District Judge Fancy Jezek's 426th State District Courtroom.
Beasley went on trial last month for the April 2012 killings of two passengers in his vehicle, following a police chase.
Beasley and three others reportedly fled police in Killeen after an incident occurred at a pawn shop on Fort Hood Street. Police say Beasley was driving erratic through downtown Killeen when his Chevy Tahoe slammed into a utility pole. Two of his passengers died from their injuries.
