Temple, TX — Annual service and maintenance will be performed on Temple’s Outdoor Warning Sirens. Work will begin Wednesday, June 5 and should be completed by Friday, June 7.
As part of the maintenance, each siren will be individually tested for approximately one minute.
During an emergency activation, the sirens sound for three minutes. When the three minute tone is heard during severe weather, seek a place of shelter immediately. If the three minute tone is heard at any other time, turn on a local television channel or radio station and listen for information on the emergency and actions to take.
Sirens are tested weekly each Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (weather permitting) for one minute.
