Killeen, Tx (KWKT) — Killeen Police are searching for several juveniles who escaped from Bell County Juvenile Detention Center just before 9:00 a.m. June 8, 2013.
The Killeen Police Department received a call today in reference to four juveniles that escaped from the Bell County Juvenile Detention center located in the 4800 block of East Rancier Avenue.
On arrival employees told police that the juveniles were in the indoor recreation area when it appeared that there was going to be an altercation. Four of the juveniles ran toward the exterior door that lead to an unsecured area and kicked it open. The suspects then ran south into the wooded area and climbed over a chain linked fence with barbed wire.
All suspects are described as black males, the first is 15, 5'6", and 140 pounds. The second is 16, 5'8", and 170 pounds. The third suspect is 17, 6'2", and weighs 160 pounds, the final and fourth suspect is 16, 6'2", and 220 pounds.
Three of the suspects are considered dark skinned and the fourth is light skinned, they each were last seen wearing a blue shirt and navy blue shorts. Because the suspects are juveniles, we are unable to release their names or photos.
Several agencies including the Bell County Deputies, Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers assisted with the search. DPS also helped in aerial search with their helicopter. The search is still ongoing at this time.
