Two caught, two on the run
Killeen, TX — Killeen Police are looking for two teenagers who escaped from a juvenile detention center over the weekend.
It all started Saturday morning at the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center at 4800 East Rancier Avenue.
Just before 9 a.m., the facility realized four young men were unaccounted for.
Killeen Police, with the help from Harker Heights Police, Texas DPS and the Bell County Sheriff’s Office immediately took to the air and spread out to find them.
"At about 2 p.m. we received a call from a man who had seen three of the guys walking and that they were still wearing the blue shorts and blue shirts from the detention center. Officers arrived in the area, gave chase and caught two of them," said Carroll Smith of Killeen PD.
Two down, but two to go.
Their criminal history does not show violence, but the city is asking locals to keep an eye out.
“If you see anybody looking suspicious, they very well could try to break into a house. So, if you see anything suspicious in the neighborhood, or you’re just driving by and see anything that doesn’t look right, we’re asking you to call the us," said Smith.
The two teenagers wanted, whose names and images may not be released, are black. Both are taller than 6'0".
One looks to weigh approximately 160 pounds, and the other, 220 pounds.
A reward is in line for information leading to an arrest.
