BRYAN, Tx (KYLE) — Nearly a year and a half after a Bryan man was shot to death through his apartment front door, all three men involved have now been sentenced.
20-year-old Travis Carroll will spend the next 12 years behind bars for his role in the murder of Billy Joe Menard Jr. back in October of 2011.
Carroll, along with Clayton Thompson and Christopher Hernandez, went to Menard's apartment the night of the murder after he refused to pay Carroll money for a drug deal.
Even though Carroll never actually fired a weapon prosecutors say Menard would have never died if Carroll hadn't provided the two guns used in the murder.
He will have to serve half of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
Thompson and Hernandez were both sentenced to 45 and 37 years.
