Moody, TX — Work has begun to give the oldest state park in Texas a $6.5 million dollar facelift.
On Saturday, officials broke ground to start the renovation project at Mother Neff State Park. The 400 acre park will receive a new campground, new headquarters, correct flooding issues, and renovate the park's entrance.
Earlier this year, the Texas Transportation Commission awarded the park $1.3 million dollars to go toward road repairs and more. This newest project is set to be complete within the next two years.
