Bellmead, TX — Bellmead police have arrested a man they say is responsible for shooting at another man through the window of a Bellmead hotel room.
On September 22, around 10:50 p.m., Bellmead police were dispatched to Delta Inn, located at 1320 Behrens Circle, in Bellmead, for a discharge of a firearm. When Bellmead officers arrived, they found one person shot. It was discovered that the victim was shot through the window of his hotel room. The victim was transported to the hospital by ETMC with non-life threatening injuries.
The next day, on September 23, Bellmead detectives were able to identify the shooter as George Ramirez. Shortly after identifying the shooter, Bellmead officers were able to locate Ramirez walking in the area of Behrens Circle and Rosemere Street. Ramirez was taken into custody without incident. Ramirez was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was later served a warrant of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
It was later learned that the shooting was over a disagreement between the two. Approximately four rounds were fired into the apartment in which the victim was in at the time of shooting.
