Temple, Texas (KWKT) — Monday night, at about 10:59 p.m., Temple Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of North 6th Street, in reference to a report of gun shots. Officers arrived and found one occupant of the home had been struck by a single bullet. The 58-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was treated for the non life-threatening injury.
Initial investigation revealed that the unknown suspect(s) arrived at the residence in a dark colored vehicle. One subject exited the car, approached the house, and produced a handgun. After firing several shots into the house the suspect re-entered the vehicle and left the scene. Witnesses to the offense described the suspect as a black male approximately 6 feet tall wearing dark clothes.
Temple PD’s General Investigations Unit came to the scene, and gathered evidence. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
