Waco, TX — A controversial move to set up medians along the Waco-area's two busiest streets was struck down Tuesday night.
The Waco Metropolitan Planning Organization decided not to approve medians for both Valley Mills Drive and Hewitt Drive in a public hearing Tuesday night.
The two streets suffer more crashes than average, but business owners said cutting cross traffic off would hurt business.
That reason was enough for officials to not approve the proposal.
However, the board did say they would continue looking for ways to make the two busy roads safer in later meetings.
