Temple, Texas (KWKT) — Temple Police are investigating a late night robbery.
On Thursday, November 7, 2013, at 10:37 p.m. on 51st Street.
Temple Police were called to a robbery that had just occurred and the victims were possibly following the suspects.
Temple Police arrived on scene and found two vehicles matching the descriptions provided by the victim. After confirming the descriptions the officers iniated a traffic stop but the suspect vehicle refused to stop.
The officers pursued the suspect vehicle and reported that in the 1200 block of South 49th Street a handgun had been thrown from the vehicle. Officers went to the area and recovered a semi-automatic handgun.
The suspect vehicle continued to run from officers but eventually stopped at the intersection of 45th Street and Avenue M where the driver stopped the vehicle.
Police arrested the four occupants of the vehicle while an investigation was conducted.
Officers spoke with the caller who reported they were doing laundry at an unknown apartment complex when a Hispanic male approached and asked to use the victim's phone.
A short time later, two black males approached the victims and the Hispanic male.
One of the black males produced a handgun and demanded the victim's money.
After receiving the victim's property, the two black males and Hispanic male fled together and got into a vehicle where a fourth suspect was waiting in the driver's seat.
The victim then entered their own vehicle and began to follow the suspects while contacting 911.
No one was injured during the offense.
The incident is under investigation at this time.
