BRYAN, Tx (KYLE) — A custody argument lands a Bryan man in jail after police say he kidnapped the mother of his child.
Police say they arrested 23-year-old James Pineda Sunday night after he forced the mother of his baby inside his vehicle and took off, driving her to a deserted parking lot where he then allegedly assaulted her.
She was able to get away but he showed back up at her apartment where he tried to take her again.
According to police, Pineda ran as soon as he saw the police.
He's charged with kidnapping, assault, interference with an emergency call, resisting arrest and evading arrest.
