Bryan, Texas (KWKT) — On Sunday around 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the Oaks Food Mart located at 3900 East 29th Street for a robbery that had just occurred.
A man entered the store and demanded money. The suspect is described as a black male between 25-35 years-old, approximately 6’ tall with an average build and was wearing a camouflage hoodie, dark pants and bright colored stocking cap.
The suspect was armed with a firearm, but no one was injured during the robbery. He ran away on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
That same day around 6:45 p.m., of were called to the Ready 2 Go located at 1600 South College Avenue for a silent robbery alarm. When officers arrived it was determined a man entered the store, displayed a firearm and demanded money. The suspect is described as a young, black male between 20-22 years-old approximately 5’06-5’10 with a medium build and was wearing a baseball cap, dark colored jacket, red shirt and blue jeans. No one was injured during the robbery and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
At this time the robberies do not appear to be related, however, it is common practice for investigators to search for evidence that could connect these robberies to any prior offenses.
