Teenager pleads guilty to shooting GF in the head

Awaits punishment
Waco, TX — A local teenager is awaiting punishment after pleading guilty to shooting his, then-15-year-old girlfriend in the head.
James Lee Saulters, 18, pleaded guilty to ‘Aggravated Assault Dating Violence’ in a McLennan County Courthouse yesterday.
The incident happened on December 23, 2011.
According to witnesses, Saulters and his girlfriend had been arguing with each other in a parked car.
After things got heated, Saulters threatened to shoot her.
After even more arguing, Saulters loaded a .22 handgun and shot his girlfriend at point blank range.
The girlfriend survived.
Saulters is asking for probation, but could get life in prison.
