Waco, Tx — Texas State Technical College has launched a new Continuing Education program that includes dozens of courses to choose from, for business professionals seeking certifications or for those who just want to indulge in a particular hobby or have some fun.
The website, www.waco.tstc.edu/continuinged, has a complete listing of more than 40 course offerings. Prices, dates and times will vary according to whether students earn a formal certificate to improve their skills or earn continuing education units (CEUs) that can accumulate over time.
Course topics include everything from woodworking, culinary arts, or “green” construction techniques, to automobile maintenance, formal and informal business courses, wind and solar energy and much more. All courses are taught by experienced instructors and include practical hands-on labs to thoroughly cover the subject areas.
"Now, CE is going to be one of our strongest programs on campus, we believe. So, it will take awhile for it to build up the clientele that we're looking for, but we'll stay with it. We've got some staying power and a lot of intentionalities. We'll make it work," said Anita Knight, Director of Workforce Development and Continuing Education for TSTC.
