Waco PD looking for masked, armed robber

Waco Police are looking for a man responsible for robbing a homeowner at gunpoint.

The incident happened just moments after she left her house.

The suspect is described as a short, black male dressed in black.

The man was wearing a Jason-style hockey mask when he approached the female resident with a handgun.

The robbery happened just before 7 A.M. at the 1100 block of Taylor Street in North Waco.

Luckily nobody was hurt and local police attribute that to the victim.

"She absolutely did the right thing." said Sgt. Patrick Swanton of Waco PD.

"She didn’t fight and argue over the purse. She gave him the purse and he took off. He had a weapon she didn’t have so she did the right thing in handing the purse over and getting him out of there;" said Swanton.

If you have any information you are urged to call Waco Police.
