A one vehicle accident near Centerville early Sunday morning killed a Waco woman.

Corporal Kevin Gaskin of DPS says Roxane Lashell Dooley, 33, of Waco was headed eastbound on Highway 7, just west of Centerville. Gaskin says Dooley drifted off of the right side of the roadway, overcorrected to the left, and left the roadway on the westbound side, striking a tree.
Dooley was pronounced dead on the scene around 3 a.m.

Authorities are saying speed played a factor in the accident. The posted speed limit is 70 miles per hour. Officials are unsure of Dooley’s speed at this time.

Gaskin says the Nissan Altima Dooley was driving was reported stolen from Marlin, TX earlier that night.

The accident remains under investigation.
